We outside again

We went to this 24 hour diner Nakau Haginochaya for breakfast it was sooo good!

Random but after breakfast we found this random place that apparently Obama went to?

Today we planned to go to a coffee shop called Ult which is a cafe by the World Barista Champion of 2023 Boram Um. Me and Angela got a pour over and Meg got a latte. Angela started looking up Boram online and found out that he’s handsome and asked why I didn’t tell her that he’s handsome 🤣. It’s hilarious because we started chatting to the barista about it and she also said she thinks her boss is handsome. She then told us a secret of when he’ll be in town but unfortunately we would already be back in Tokyo by that time 😭.

We finished our coffee and headed back out to go to a ceramics shop that Meghal found! We weren’t able to take much pictures inside because they had a lot of no photo signs around the shop but here’s one of the shop owner and some of the pieces Meghal got!

We found a thrift shop and went shopping but I think we were all too much in the zone so we weren’t able to take pictures. We also didn’t realize until later in the day that we haven’t really been eating breakfast since we got here and that we’ve just been uncomfortable, hungry, and in pain until we get dinner 😭. But anyways here’s some pictures of friends we made–

We were going to go get snacks after shopping but Angela’s feet started hurting more and my legs were also getting very tired so we decided to go back to our hotel so that we can take a break for a sec.

We went shopping again for a bit but we were way too hungry while still in the middle of Dotonbori (Osaka’s time square)

We couldn’t find a place we can eat nearby that is not a host club or something else that would scam us but I thought maybe we can try to have conveyer belt sushi if we really can’t find a place. I feel like we did the equivalent of eating at an Olive Garden at Time Square but the place we went to was actually pretty decent and cheap.

I really wanted dessert so we went to this cocktail+dessert place nearby

It was really good and I like that they had mocktails but they were kind of shady and charged us ¥700 each for a thing we didn’t order and thought that was just a “complimentary” thing they bring over immediately, which seems to be what every restaurant in Dotonbori does.
