Titas visit Onomichi
Our adventures continues today with making our way to Onomichi, a port side town in Hiroshima. They’re famous for their temples, and alley cats.
We had a quick breakfast and went to Shin Osaka station to take the Shinkansen.

Meghal found Pour a coffee shop we can go to that had specialty coffee beans. The coffee was excellent, we picked light roast fruity coffees and we tasted different coffees that had notes of Melon, Cassis, and Lychee. I’m so surprise that there’s a specialty coffee place in this tiny town. The pour overs were amazing and I can’t wait to go back home and really dial my pour over recipes a lot better. My pour overs still have a bit of bitterness and an acrid after taste so there’s still a significant amount of room for improvement.

Angela made a dinner reservation with LOG, a hotel up a hill in Onomichi where they have a cafe, a small shop and a restaurant.

LOG is a hotel designed by arhictects from Studio Mumbai and it was very pretty. The space felt so welcoming and I was admiring the soft colors and texture of the walls. It was nice to finally have some downtime after being in crowded cities and we finally get to relax for a bit. We got there a bit early so we wandered around, went inside their gift shops and waited in the cafe until dinner.

Our dinner was so good! The three of us have been really needing some um… fiber because a lot of Japanese dishes doesn’t have a lot of fiber. The dinner had a decent amount of fiber so we’re all hoping that… the fiber does it’s thing if that makes sense 👀

I hope we find some cats tomorrow!
