One last onigiri

Today's our last full day in Japan. It's bitter sweet but we still made the most of it.

We met up with my friend Yuko, we haven't seen each other in over a decade but it was still really nice to be able to catchup on each other's lives. She's now married with a 5 year old and another one on the way which is exciting. We reminisce on our time when she was an international student in Winnipeg and all the adventures we had.

She also works for Yakult now and she was surprised that I know the main live bacteria that is used in Yakult the Lactobacillus Shirota strain. It's something I heard a lot advertised on TV growing up so it's stuck in my brain now.

We went shopping and found some nice perfumes to take home.

Meghal had another pottery place on her list so we stopped by quickly and had a nice chat with the shop owner about universities that have ceramics programs in Japan.

We impulsively went back to Shibuya and checked out more shops to grab souvenirs for friends. I'm not sure why we decided to do that because we were very overwhelmed by how busy it was again.

We had dinner at Shake Shack which is hilarious, Meghal said that we should try the burger if it was any different. I honestly don't remember if it was any different at all.

We went home and packed all night because I have to go take the train early in the morning to go to Narita airport. Meghal is going back home to New York and I went to go see my grandparents in the Philippines.
